Lessons

I offer tuition on all woodwind instruments. The most popular being Clarinet, Saxophone and Flute. Lessons can take place at home, in schools and at my local music shop. I teach all ages and find that adults as well as younger pupils gain a lot of enjoyment from learning to play a musical instrument. Pupils can take exams with A.B.R.S.M. or just learn for fun. I enjoy teaching a wide range of styles as well as music theory. Lessons slots are generally 30 minutes or an hour. I offer 20 minute slots to young beginners but this will need to increase as the child progresses. Please click on about to find out more or contact to get in touch.

Repairs

We offer repairs for all woodwind instruments. These take place in my workshop. Most instruments will require regular servicing in order to keep them operational. Please click on about to find out more or contact if you would like to get in touch.

Conducting bands

Over the years I have conducted for local bands and ensembles. These have included school ensembles and other organisations. Currently I run a social band for my adult pupils. We meet alternating Fridays. There is a beginners band and an improvers band. We play at charity events and hold an informal Christmas concert.
